Raja Backmon

Education being not only her profession but also her passion, Raja Backmon is the one to call for duty as this year’s 1st grade teacher! She is a native of Jacksonville, FL where she graduated from Jean Ribault Senior High School. She furthered her education attending “The Great” Bethune Cookman University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. 

Prior to joining the Cornerstone Family, she was the 2nd grade teacher at another local Jacksonville Private School. Mrs. Backmon married her High School Sweetheart where they are blessed to have a daughter, Blair Aubri. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Backmon enjoys spending time with family, serving as a youth and worship leader at her church and being the CEO of her own company, Darling & Boo Bowtique. With Mrs. Backmon on the job, we are positive that this will be an amazing school year. She believes it is her duty as an educator to help develop and nurture the leaders of tomorrow. Mrs. Backmon is thrilled to bring her talents to Cornerstone Christian School!
